Hello! I’m playing with texture paste, stencils and patterned paper from Craftangles today!

The ongoing challenge at HNDMD is ‘Patterned paper /stencils’ and I decided to combine the two to give you some inspiration. You can find all the information HERE

I have a process video for you today on how to use texture pastes on cards –

Earlier this month, I used stencils with distress inks on patterned paper for the ongoing challenge over on the HNDMD blog and had made below cards.

This time, I decided to use texture paste instead.

For the first card, I used Craftangles white texture paste through Craftangles ‘Doodle Around’ stencil on Craftangles ‘aged roses’ patterned paper.

Once dry, I cut the panel to fit an A2 card. I layered the panel with Craftangles vellum and then added a fussy cut floral bouquet from Craftangles ‘Colorful flowers 6’ element pack, along with a bit of gold thread. The sentiment is from the ‘Love sentiment sheet’. I added a little of ‘Vicotrian Velvet’ distress ink around the edges of the bouquet to soften the edges.

For the second card, I used Craftangles ‘Rose gold’ glimmer texture paste and ‘Damask Delight’ stencil on ‘Autumn harvest’ pattern paper from Craftangles.

I fussy cut and layered flowers from the CrafTangles Elements Pack – Spring Flowers 2 and added a simple sentiment to to finish the card.

This glimmer paste is so very beautiful! Unfortunately it does not photograph so well.

For the third card, I used a sheet from the CrafTangles Scrapbook Paper Pack – Timeless Treasures. I used Thermoweb Deco foil transfer gel through the Craftangles ‘Script’ stencil. Once dry, I ran it through a laminator with Craftangles Reactive Copper foil.

This created the most beautiful background. You can see my process in the video.

I fussy a stem of roses from the CrafTangles Elements Pack – Vintage Rosette 2 and layered it with a piece of torn CrafTangles vellum for interest. No sentiment for this card.I think it will work for any occasion.

I really enjoyed making these cards. I hope you will enjoy my process video.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Have a great day!
