It’s Shabneez here with a Super Boy card and gift in one. I was over the moon to receive the CrafTangles Super Boys Stamp and Die Set among my DT package as superheroes are very popular in my household. The images and sentiments in the set are fabulous! I fancied making something that incorporated a small gift with a card. Both my boys love reading, as do their friends, so I thought I’d incorporate a bookmark into a card so they have a keepsake.
The bookmark was easy to make. I randomly stamped a sheet of white card with the ‘Bam!!’ phrase and cut it into a bookmark shape rounding off the corners at the top. I added a line of sequins and a sentiment. I stamped and coloured the image before cutting it out.
Once I had made the bookmark, I measured the length and made a card blank to fit, then matted and layered coloured card using similar colours that I’d used on the stamped image.
I die cut a circle out of the card that would go on the top of the layers ensuring the image on the bookmark showed through the circle. I added thick foam tape on the back measuring the right amount of space for the bookmark to slide into the card.
And finally, here’s the card with bookmark inserted!
I added another of the stamped and die cut images, together with a sentiment from the set at the bottom of the card. That way, even if the bookmark was used straight away the card would still look good on display!
