Stretch your Stencils

Hello everyone Rahmat here 😀

Today is my debut post here at CrafTangles, I am delighted to be part of this talented team!

To get started, I am showing how to stretch your stencils, most of the time we either do sponging or use sprays on stencils, but there are many other creative ways you can use a stencil.
I have used the CrafTangles – Rays stencil here.

Here is my short video, here I had demonstrated 3 techniques.

My first card is based on the first technique I had shown – Sponging, I started with hero Arts Neon Sunshine ink using the rays stencil and inked up the base.
I stamped the cherry blossoms from Mom you rock set in distress ink – worn lipstick on a water color paper, and colored using the same ink, fussy cut it to ad to the card.
I had used the yellow PP from the PP pack and used Lawn Fawn cloud die to cut, and added it at the bottom of my card. I stamped part of the sentiment on the PP, and it stamps perfectly well. I stamped the rest of the sentiment on the stenciled panel.
The flowers arranged from top corner, and a few bumblebee yellow sequins to finish off this card.

The second is based on the second technique I showed in the video, which is using the stencil fro dry embossing. I ran the stencil with the card stock through my big shot, the plates used are similar to what we use for the thin-lit die-cuts.
Then I used Nuvo Gold Mousse, and applied it to the embossed panel using a piece of cloth. It gives a beautiful shimmer.
I cut the rectangle frame using MFT die, and added on the card to mimic a faux shaker, I was torn in between a shaker and a faux shaker, and I ended with the latter.
The sentiment is from the set – Mom you Rock. I arranged the sequins at the bottom and around the card to mimic the shaker look.

For my last card, I had used the technique called stencil monoprint. I had used 2 sprays here and sprayed straight on the stencil, followed by some mist, and then pressed the card stock against it, without moving it, and you have to lift it up straight as well.
Once the background was all dry I stamped the sentiment from the Super-boys set in black and heat embossed suing clear embossing powder.
Then I stamped the superboy on a water color paper in black and heat embossed in clear EP, and colored using the zig clean color markers and die cut using the coordinating die.
Another part of the sentiment added on the bottom, and I edges the bottom with a chipboard strip.
