Split Cards Using CrafTangles Vintage Rosette Paper Pad by Shabneez

Happy Weekend!

It’s Shabneez here with a selection of thank you cards using the CrafTangles Vintage Rosette Paper Pad.  I’ll be showing you different variations on the split card in my post.  Thank you cards are always very useful at this time of year as school is coming to an end and as well as teachers I have many people to thank on behalf of my children.

I think split cards were one of the first style of cards I mastered and then I thought of different positions to add the split on the card which I am sharing with you today.

The first card is the traditional split card where you cut out part of the paper from the middle of your card.  You stick the top part and bottom part back and in this instance I have added a contrasting colour to the middle of the card and stuck another piece through it.  The sentiment is die cut and to finish I have added glitter drops around the butterfly.

Next up, I’ve used the same principle as my first card but made the split slimmer and and more to one side.  Again, I’ve added contrasting colour card to the split together with a doily.  The centre is another piece from the paper pad that I’ve backed on green and added a die cut sentiment.  To finish I’ve added some vintage drops.

For my final card I have made the split diagonal.  For those of you who follow my social media you will recognise the paper that I stamped the thanks on to customise my own paper.  I fussy cut one of the flower arrangements from the papers and stuck it on the corner.

To highlight the flowers further I went around them with a little ink and added nuvo crystal drops which give the impression of water droplets on the flowers.

So there you have it – a selection of split cards using the beautiful Vintage Rosette paper pad.  If you liked them please let me know in the comments below!

Enjoy your weekend,
Shabneez
