Hello Everyone!
Have you had a chance to apply for the CrafTangles Design Team yet? There’s still time left so get your application in! It’s a truly wonderful team to be on and I’m sure my fellow DT colleagues would agree.
Today, I’m using the new Hello Baby stamp set together with the Pretty Plaid paper pad to show you a technique called Paper Piecing. I’ve done a step by step tutorial as well.
Step By Step Tutorial on Paper Piecing
1. To begin you need to stamp out the image on your choice of cardstock. I have chosen the CrafTangles Hello Baby stamp set and CrafTangles Desert Sand.
3. Stick the star and the bear’s tummy onto the original image with a little glue.
4. To finish the card I used star punches in 2 sizes. After punching out the stars I went round them with a black marker and added a sentiment in the large star.
5. To finish I added some CrafTangles wooden star shaker embellishments to finish.
Once you’ve had a go with the technique you can use different colours and elements. Here are a couple of other examples:
So for this one I’ve used the same image but I’ve paper pieced the body of the bear and the ears as it reminds me of a child’s sleep suit. I’ve added stitched dies and cloud punch outs to finish together with a sentiment.
For my final card, I’ve used a number of colours to paper piece the image and the cutest of sentiments from the same stamp set.
Lovely cards and awesome play with those gorgeous pattern papers..
Thank you so much Swapna!
