Hi, Teresa here!!
Sharing with you another Mix media project, this time it’s a letter holder with a shabby chic look, that only pink can bring to live!! but i didn’t use pink… come and see!!
And also, someone asked for a mix media project with step-by-step instructions, here you have it!! Enjoy!!
Step by step instructions:
1. Start by applying white paper texture paste and cement texture paste with a stencil of your choice. I chose the Maze from craftangles. Without letting it dry and with a help of some gel medium for some parts, apply natural art stones by craftangles also. Let it dry very well.
(See that the paste also can be used to stick the stones)
2. Cover all the piece with with gesso. You may need water to dilute the gesso and paint in the most difficult areas, like the ones with the stones;
3. Choose one colour (or more if you want), and spray directly on the piece or if you prefer, put some paint in your base or in a container and apply gradually with the brush. Immediately with a spray bottle with only water, sprinkle to dilute the paint applied on your piece to avoid getting too saturated. This is how i get the result of the red become pink. Dry and apply again paint and water until you like the result.
4. Now you can start decorating, i only made this photos of this part because it’s the best part and i’m simply taken by inspiration and can’t stop…:)
And the finish result you already saw!!
Hope you feel inspired, here are the material that i use:
