Happy Tuesday Everyone!
It’s Shabneez here sharing a couple of modern aperture wedding cards made with the CrafTangles Mr & Mrs stamp and Cardstock.
I’ve always wanted to be able to make traditional Indian wedding cards but have never had anything to make them with – until now! CrafTangles currently have 2 wedding themed stamp sets and I have picked one to showcase today.
Using apertures is a good way of getting depth on cards. For my first card, I used the CrafTangles Steel Heart Die set which has a beautiful stitched detail on it. I cut the apertures out of a piece of cardstock then added heat embossed sentiments to 2 of them.
For the third heart, I stamped the image of the bride and groom and fussy cut it then added some Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Kiss to add a little sparkle. I die cut all the hearts in gold to create frames.
I have to say both the colours and quality of the CrafTangles cardstock is outstanding. It makes paper crafting so much easier and I’d recommend keeping all the colours in stock! For my second card I used the Denim Blue cardstock as a base.
For my aperture this time, I used the stamped image itself and I ended up stamping it 3 times, twice in black and the third time I heat embossed it in gold. It took a long time fussy cutting the parts of the images I wanted and I then layered them like decoupage with foam pads. Being the romantic I am, and in keeping with my heart theme, I added a gold die cut heart to the back of the image. Well, weddings are all about love aren’t they?!
I hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing my modern twist on traditional Indian weddings.
See you again later on in the months.
