Hello Craftangles,
Fans and Followers!
Pooja here with my last post as Guest Designer! Special Thanks to Khyati and Craftangles Team for giving me this opportunity to showcase my cards here.
By now you all must have realized how much I love CrafTangles Liquid watercolors and I am always on look out for different techniques to use them .The easiest and most popular technique is emboss resist which I have shared earlier and for my card today I have paired it with Color blocking to get Ombre look!
Started by White heat embossing the cute images from Merry muffins Stamp set (from Stampendous) then masked of the areas and painted broad strips using EggPlant ,Rosewood and Ripe plums Liquid watercolors . You could add even more colors like Eggplant, Rosewood, Victorian rose, ripe plums, Soulmate for more detailed ombre effect.
For next card I started by painting a strip of card stock with Pumpkin Orange and Rosewood Liquid watercolor and cut out the words .I then clear embossed the strip to make it more sturdy and for shine.
Next I created a bokeh background with negative painting .The colors used are Pretty Peony and Poolside Liquid watercolors.
I used one of the backgrounds for next two cards
Do you like this striped background?
I was just playing with leftover colors on my acrylic block. The colors are Poolside, Poison Ivy, Pumpkin Orange, Lemon tart mixed with each other.
The tulips are from “Just a note” stamp set.
This brings to the end of my GD stint at Craftangles. Hope you enjoyed seeing all the cards I made using Liquid watercolors. The feedback and appreciation I received from you all has helped me to improve my card making skills, I am really grateful for this opportunity.
Thank you,
SD Pooja 🙂
Your cards are making me buy and try liquid watercolors.
