Colour Block Cards – Valentine Inspiration

Hello Crafty friends,
I am Ranjitha Sathya. Hoping you are doing great. I am here with valentine cards as my first post as a design team member at Craftangles. As valentines day is just around the corner, I am here with some pretty and colorful card inspirations for you. The theme for our Monthly Challenge is “Celebrate Love” and so I am here with some quick inspirations for the same.

Today I am here with some Colour Blocking as Valentine Cards. That is my cards are going to have some fun backgrounds with blocks of colour.

For the first valentine card, I have masked an area with scrap paper and blended it with distress oxide in the shade fossilled amber and then finished the card with some stamped images and sentiments. This is a fun way of how you can stretch your old stamps and use them for an entirely different theme.

For the second card, I did a similar technique but this time I used multiple bold colours and blended them on to my background in blocks and then stamped images on them. This would make a wonderful card to send it over to your loved ones.

Now here comes the third card. I have colour blocked this card too, but this time with pattern paper. I added some rose gold foil to add some more interest to the card.

Coming to the last card. This one is a very quick and simple card. I colour blocked using a heart stencil and then to add more interest I placed an other stencil over it and lifted off some colour using a wet wipe. This created a unique interesting background in just no time. Finished off the card with a sentiment. However you could add die cuts and some sequins too.
