For my first card, I used Tim Holtz green distress ink to stamp on the side then with the versamark pad I stamped the image and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then used the blue distress inks over it. The effect made me think of a negative from a photo.
To add a bit more colour, I used more green with my water brush around the silhouette. Finally, I used the stencil with my water brush to add interest,
And here’s the finished version, I’ve added a sentiment from the same stamp set as the image together with the gorgeous new CrafTangles sequins and some ribbon to embellish.
For my second card, I decided to go for a vintage look so used the distress inks to stamp the image on a piece of card which I tore the edges and added a darker colour around to enhance the vintage look.
This time for the sentiment, I used the CrafTangles sentiment set which I can see being my go to sentiment set as it covers so many different occasions. I kept with the natural look for this card and added a doily, bakers twine and a wooden button to finish it off.
I love how you can get two totally different looks using the same image. Hope this has inspired you to get your inks and stamps out to have a play!
See you again soon!
