I hope you are good and mindfully creative! Today I am sharing beautiful ‘Retro Art’ tutorial with you all. Let’s get going with my artwork. This time I made art work using Liquid Watercolours. It was a smooth and satisfying experience working with it. Do have a look and leave some love.
But before, proceeding further, this month there is a monthly challenge going on as “Vintage”, take a look below for the details of our monthly challenge.

Here is the look at ‘Retro Art’ Calligraphy Tutorial:
Follow these easy steps and make your own artwork!
- Firstly, get your hands on the right supplies. I used Craftangles Diary for paper. For Colors, I used the Craftangles Liquid Watercolors Oh Fudge and Coffee Mocha. You will also a paint brush, glass pen, water brush pen and a washi tape.
- Next up, I created three different watercolor backgrounds using Liquid Watercolors and a water brush pen.
- Then, for the first artwork, I applied washi tape on the paper in the area where I would do lettering and painted the rest of the background. After it dried completely, I removed the washi tape and using a glass pen lettered on the white part. I used a mix of the two Liquid Watercolors Oh Fudge and Coffee Mocha.
- Next, for the second artwork, I made a draft of the alphabet on the watercolor background. I then used a glass pen to letter on the draft created using a mix of the two colors.
- For the last artwork, I created a basic draft of the word ‘ retro’ and painted the mix of watercolors on the shadows using a water brush pen.
That’s it! Your artwork is ready! Easy, right?
Let me know which one was your favorite amongst the three.
