Hello fellow Crafters !
My name is Archisha from Kenchi School and today, I am bringing you three fall floral cards. While we create these cards, I will also be showing how I use my stencils for embossing.
But before proceeding any further, let us talk about the October monthly challenge. This month, the challenge is going on as “Fall OR Autumn Colours”. You can take a look below for the details of our monthly challenge.
For all three cards, I used the same embossing technique using the stencils. You would need a die cutting machine and an embossing mat.
The sandwich is the key. To know more about the sandwich details, check out the Youtube link down below towards the end of this post.
Table of Contents
1) Clean and Simple Rose Fall FloralCard :
For this card, I used the Flower Cluster Stencil and Just A Note Stamp Set. I kept it clean and simple with the stencil embossed background in white.
The rose was coloured with alcohol markers and a gold gel pen was used to outline the stamped image. I added a yellow and white baker’s twine to make the flowers appear as gatherings.
I chose the colours keeping in mind the monthly challenge of this month.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is embossed on Craftangles Black Cardstock with gold embossing powder. I also distressed the sentiment edges to give it a vintage like look. Further, holographic gems were added to add some spark to this card.
2) Tangerine Tag Fall Floral Card :
For this card, I used the Hearts All Around stencil and You are In My Thoughts Stamp Set.
Along with embossing with the stencil I also created some ombre inking with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink and Craftangles Blending Brushes.
I stamped the floral in black and kept is monochromatic. Instead, I added more interest to it’s background using a Kraft coloured tag with brown and black dye ink. I added an extra gold bow made out of golden lace to bring in more of the Autumn feel.
The sentiment was stamped on Craftangles Tangering Orange cardstock from the same stamp set in black ink. To give it a more splatter like look, I added several Black Nuvo Crystal Drops.
3) Fall Floral Birthday Card Out Of Scraps :
For this card, I pulled out all those scraps from my stash with go with the Autumn feel.
I used the Braid Pattern Stencil for embossing and the Birthday Wishes stamp set.
My scraps were diecut into rectangles, embossed with the stencil and strategically placed to create an abstract look of layers. I was very proud of the outcome as it is so different from my usual style.
Lastly, the sentiment from Birthday Wishes stamp set was heat embossed on Black cardstock with white embossing powder.
