Hi everyone! This is Deepti Stephens and welcome back to another blog-post. Today, I’m so happy and excited to share my project with you all. It’s all about the newly released ‘Liquid Water Colors by Craftangles’. These colors are so vibrant and gorgeous, they come in cute bottle and you’ll need to pierce a hole through it. They react with water very well and to color the image a drop is more than enough. You can achieve many shades from dark to light from that little drop. I’m not a water color artist but I’d love to be one! Here is my little effort on showing how you can use these Liquid Water Colors.
Here is the swatch I made on Canson Water Color Paper..
I started by stamping the images from Fairies and Just a Note stamp sets on Timholtz Water Color Paper with Archival Jet Black Ink. I did Masking in the background. Masking Technique creates an illusion that one image is standing behind the other. At first, I didn’t do great with the stamping, later I went on the stamped lines again with a black permanent marker. I wanted that Mushroom to be a house so I did a little doodling by adding a door to it. 🙂
Once the scene was build up, I went ahead and water colored the images. I went with light shade and then slowly build up the layers.
I removed the excess water color with a tissue paper and finally finished the card by stamping the sentiment from Happily Ever After. I’m so happy with the result and I would definitely come up with more projects using these ‘Craftangles Liquid Water Colors.’
