3 quick and elegant cards with Stencilling on Patterned papers. 1

Hello! Today I have used stencilling on patterned paper to make some elegant cards. This is a great way to use up scraps and make a simple patterned paper pop. These are also my inspiration for our Monthly challenge which is use Stencils / Patterned Papers

craft challenge July 2020

For the first card, I used a simple yellow sheet of paper from an old 6″x6″ paper pack from Craftangles. I used the ‘Damask Delight’ stencil and Tim Holtz ‘Fertilized Amber’ and ‘Vintage Photo’ Distress Oxide to stencil the pattern. I tried to off set the stencil to differentiate between the two colours, but as you can see, I’ve not been too successful. ;D

I also used the amazing “Gem Drops” from Craftangles to add some interest.

I then fussy cut the tulip from the Craftangles ‘colourful flowers 5’ element pack for the focal image. I decided to layer just the flower to create some dimension and interest. The sentiment is from the Craftangles sentiment sheet.

I adhered the patterned paper panel to a 5″x5″ white card base.

For card number 2, I started with a sheet from the Craftangles ‘Vintage rosette’ paper pack and used the Craftangles ‘Geometric Bliss’ stencil and Tim Holtz ‘Worn Lipstick’ distress oxide create interest around the edges of the paper.

I then gold embossed a simple sentiment from the Craftangles ‘Hello Lovely’ stamp set. I added a fussy cut butterfly from the Craftangles ‘Colourful flowers 4’ element pack to add some interest. I adhered the patterned paper panel to a 5″x5″ square card base and finished the card with some clear Gem drops.

The third card is really my favourite!

I used a sheet of scrap paper from the Craftangles ‘Wild about Blue’ 6″x6″ paper pack I cut it down to size to fit a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base. I then use the ‘Rays’ stencil and Tim Holtz ‘Fossilized Amber’ Distress ink to create the background. I then fussy cut this beautiful poppy flower from the Craftangles ‘colorful flowers 6’ and adhered it to the background. Then sentiment is from the Craftangles sentiment sheet..its perfect no?

I adhered the patterned paper to a 4.25×5.5 card base and added some Gem Drops to finish the card.
