CARD 1 – Diwali card with masking
This card uses masking technique to create a scene of a happy family celebrating Diwali!
- I am using Diwali greetings stamp and Archival ink for stamping, for this card and took the small boy stamp and stamped on a water color paper. Then I stamped the same boy on masking paper and fussy cut it.
2. I put the masked boy on the stamped image and then stamped the lady behind him.
3. Then I stamped the man, next to them.
4. I used Festive lights stamp set and stamped the string of lights on top of the cardstock.
5. I removed the mask and colored the illustrations with Zig markers.
You can check my video here, where I am coloring with zig markers.
6. Then I stamp my sentiment beneath the lights.
7. I use pumpkin orange cardstock to make a top folding A2 card and adhere my panel with 3d foam tape.
And here is the happy family Diwali card!
Here are some more pictures of the card.
CARD 2 – Diwali card with watercolor sky
I have made water color night sky for this Diwali card with kids enjoying their crackers.
- For this card also. I am using Diwali greetings stamp and Memento ink for stamping, as I’d be doing Copic coloring for the illustrations. I stamp the boy and the girl and fussy cut them.
2. Then with my Copic alchohol markers I color them.
3. I use Craftangles watercolors in Ocean breeze, Poolside, Mystical waters and Eggplant for coloring my night sky on watercolor paper. I use a strip of washi tape to protect the area that will be the floor.
4. then I splatter white acrylic pain and adhere some silver stars that I cut from Silver glitter sheet and removed the washi tape.
5. For the floor I used Medieval mosaic stencil and first applied Squeezed lemonade Distress oxide ink with Craftangles blending brush and then stenciled the stencil with light pressure of Vintage photo DO.
6. Then I cut my panel with a die cut frame andstamp happy Diwali with vesamark and heat emboss it with white embossing powder. I take Fiery yellow cardstock and adhere my Diwali night sky panel on it and the little kids too.
7. I add some gold dots for the sparkles coming from phooljhadi and my card is done!
CARD 3– Diwali card with Sequins toran and Diyas
I have made water color night sky for this Diwali card with kids enjoying their crackers.
- I stamped the diya from the Celebrating Diwali stamp set with Memento ink and fussy cut it thrice, as I was not sure if I want my card to be in lanscape or portrait in orientation.
2. I took a brick stencil and stenciled on top folding (portrait orientation decided) Fiery yellow cardstock with Tubby craft’s Light pink ink.
3. For the toran I used Saffron orange sequins to imitate marigold flowers and adheres them with glossy accents.
4. Then between the sequins I added a drop of Emerald Gem drop.
5. And added Yellow citrine Gem drop in the centre of the orange sequin for more interest.
6. And here is our toran ready!
7. I colour my diyas with Copic markers and use two to decorate the wall and stamp two sentiments with Versafine ink from the stamps set Celebrating Diwali.
I adhere my diyas and taddaaa here is beautifully decorated Diwali ready home on a card!
