Hello Everyone…
Arpita here, hope you all are staying home and staying safe. In this lockdown time, here is a decoupage tutorial step by step for you all. I had this old Chipboard box which was great to store my trinket’s. So upcycled and gave it a new lease of life. Have Decoupage’d the box creating a faux palette wood background.
Have a decoupage tutorial step by step for you all –
Step 1
Have painted the complete outside of the box with Butter Cream Chalky Paint. Have given 2 coats of the paint.
Step 2
Have applied texture paste using a pallet knife randomly on all sides of the box.
Step 3
At this stage felt the yellow was overpowering. So applied one thin coat of Snow white Chalky Paint.
Using the shades of pink and brown I added color using the dry brush technique.
Dry Brush technique – load your brush with paint and take of the excess paint from the brush and with a light hand paint the surface.
Next I drew lines to create a faux palette wood.
Step 4
I fussy cut the flowers I wanted to use from the Spring Time Decoupage papers and stuck them using the Decoupage glue. Gave a top coat using the same decoupage glue and finally sealed with a acrylic varnish.
So here is the final look
