Some floral Slimline Cards

Hey guys,

Khayti here and I am back today with some slimline cards for you all. Today is not a video post that I have for you all rather just few cards that I thought I would share and some chit chat 🙂

Before I get into all that I wanted to remind you all that there is a monthly challenge going on our blog and this month’s theme is Feminine and will be ending soon so if you have not participated do it fora chance to win some good and ofcourse an opportunity to create something cool

monthly craft challenge - September 2020

So let’s get in to some floral slimline cards which are my inspiration for this Feminine Challenge

So into today’s post today I wanted to share with you some slimline I made as part of some showcase for the stamp that we released in CrafTangles September 2020Part 1 release. Is a floral stamp set called You are in my Thoughts and I am in love with this floral stamp set designed by a truly talented crafter Radhika. I literally have a course on HNDMD course website called Cardmaking 101 where I show you more than 20 cards using just this stamp set so I feel it’s pretty versatile. So below is the stamp set that I am showcasing in today’s tutorial.

So I wanted to quickly make a few cards and at the same time colour something, so I went with my messy colouring style and just started putting CrafTangles liquid watercolour on the CrafTangles cold press 100% cotton watercolour paper once I stamped on top of it using Versafine Onyx Black Inkpad. I have used Tubby acrylic blocks to stamp it on top of paper.

And then I have to die cut it and applied it on top of the CrafTangles cardstock to create some slimline cards. I have also used CrafTangles Sentiment Sheets just to make the whole process go quicker. I really find this sentiment sheets a blessing especially the black ones as that reduces my time of stamping and embossing as I ten to use black sentiment strips on my card and I feel embossing just takes more time so I always love a shortcut. I also added some dimension on top of the flowers by adding some Staedtler colour pencils. For the below cards I have used Dual Textured White cardstock as my base.

For my next cards I have used some CrafTangles Circle dies on my cardstock base to create the cards.

Below are the dimensions of the cards I have used –
A2 cards – 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch when folded so total cardstock size is 8 1/2 by 51/2 inches
Slimline cards – 3 1/2 by 8 1/2 inch when folded so total cardstock size is 7 by 8 1/2 inches
