I am Dhruvika @the_cardogram, today I am sharing crab themed cards made with scraps.Since the theme of the Craftangles Monthly Challenge is Recycle / Reuse, thus I decided to take out all the scraps that i had and use it today to create the crab themed cards. SO today’s hero stamp will be Craftangles Oh Crab! and I shall be creating 3 cards using it with different techniques.
Here is the look at beautiful crab themed cards using scraps :
First Card: Scene Card
For the first card today, I die cut 2 circles from the Craftangles Dual textured White Cardstock and Kraft Cardstock, I then die cut the stitched clouds from the Craftangles Cobalt Blue Cardstock, little circle from the Craftangles canary yellow Cardstock and the palm trees from the CrafTangles Emerald Green and Kraft stock.
Too add dimension to these die cuts I ink blended the following shades of distress inks
- Salty Ocean
- Mowed Lawn
- Vintage Photo
- Wild Honey
I then assembled all the elements and stuck using the liquid adhesive. I stamped the crab images on to the Dual Textured White cardstock and using the black dye ink and colored using the alcohol markers and fussy cut it. To complete the look i stamped the sentiments using the black dye ink on to the blue portion . Once it was all ready I splattered the white acrylic paint to add texture and dimension. Finally I adhered the panel on to the A2 side folding note card.
Second Card: Paper Tearing Technique.
To create this card, I trimmed a panel of 8.5 x 5.5 inches from the Craftangles Kraft cardstock and scored it in half along the longer edge. To create the ocean and the waves, I trimmed a panel of 4 inches in width and then tore it to get the uneven shoreline. I then ink blended the panel using the Distress Ink in Salty Ocean. I then splattered the drops of clean water for added interest.
I stamped the sentiments from the same stamps set called Oh Crab! using the black dye ink. I stamped the crab on to the Craftangles Dual textured White Cardstock and colored using the alcohol markers and then fussy cut it.
I adhered the torn panel using the liquid adhesive while stuck the crab using the 3D foam tape.
Third Card : Clean and Simple Card
To create this card, I started on to the A2 size side folding card by sticking two stencils, largest square mask and the waves stencil by Craftangles. I then ink blended using the Salty Ocean distress Ink , I then removed the stencils and then ink blended using the same ink to smoothen out the edges. I stamped the sentiments using the black dye ink. Finally stamped the carb image using the black dye ink, colored using the alcohol marker and then fussy cut it, After it was ready I stuck it on to the blue part using the 3D foam tape. To add a little embellishment I added the blue Nuvo Drops.
