Background 1 :
The first background technique should help you make dreamy backgrounds for those magical scenic cards.
The distress oxide inks that I used for this card’s background along with Craftangles Blending Brushes are :
- Squeezed Lemonade
- Fossilized Amber
- Wild Honey
- Worn Lipstick
- Abandoned Coral
The Craftangles Nature stencil with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink makes the perfect subtle clouds. I also splattered some shimmer and added liquid jewel drops for more interest.
The elements are stamped from Craftangles Hello Baby stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with my alcohol markers. Additional white accents were added with my white posca marker.
The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onyx black in and layered on distressed cardstock matted on Craftangles Flamingo Pink Cardstock. For more exact details, check out the video tutorial down below.
Background 2 :
The second card is bling-y mermaid card with a beautiful ocean background.
Distress Oxide Inks used for this card along with Craftangles Blending Brushes are :
- Shaded Lilac
- Wilted Violet
- Salty Ocean
- Blueprint Sketch
I added another level of inking with the Craftangles Waves stencil and white pigment ink.
To give the reflective quality of water, I added some holographic sequins and Nuvo drops that dry clear and look like bubbles.
The elements of the card were stamped from Craftangles Mermaid Kisses and By The Sea Side stamp set. These were also coloured with my alcohol markers.
The sentiment was heat embossed on Craftangles Black cardstock and white embossing powder. For more exact details, check out the video tutorial down below.
Background 3 :
For my last card today, I have a vibrant Christmas card. (Christmas cards are my favourite kind to make).
Distress Oxide Inks used for this card along with Craftangles Blending Brushes are :
- Cracked Pistachio
- Peacock Feathers

With the Craftangles Lemon Zest glimmer paste and Craftangles Starry BG stencil, I created a sparkling starry sky.
Additional Rose Gold Liquid Pearls were added for more texture.
My cute polar bear is from the Bearing Gifts stamp set and coloured with alcohol markers. I added a little diecut under the bear as a snow bank to complete the look.
The sentiment was heat embossed in gold on Craftangles Denim Blue cardstock. I also meeted the sentiment strip on white cardstock for a pop.
