3 Quick and Easy Wedding themed cards.

wedding

Have you seen the newly realeased wedding themed papers from Craftangles?!
To make todays slimline cards, I have used the wedding themed 6″x6″ paper pack and the wedding themed elements packs. The papers are 300 gsm and so so luxurious, you can use them directly on your card. I just love them! Also before heading to the post, dont forget to check out the on going challenge on our blog and do check out the inspiration from fellow DT members

3 Quick and Easy Wedding themed cards. 1

For the first card, I used three sheets from the Wedding bells 6″x6″ paper pack from Craftangles . Since I decided to make slimlime cards, I needed more than one sheet to cover the front of the card. I used Craftangles ‘Stitched Scallops’ die on one of the three sheets of paper, to create a demarcation between the two pink sheets of paper.

I then adhered them all to the card base and added the sentiment from the ‘Wedding sentiments 1’ pack from Craftangles.
I created this sentiment by taking parts of two sentiments on this sheet. This was a personal choice and you can also see how you need not be limited with the sentiments that you have. You can mix them up.

For my second card, I started with a background that I had made a few days ago.
Again, the length of the panel was not enough to cover the front of my slime line card base which is 3.5″x8.5″.
So, I cut down the panel to size and added a black panel to the base.

I then fussy cut the image of the bride and groom from the ‘Wedding Bells 1″ elements pack and adhered it to the card, using 3D foam tape, so it looks like the couple is gazing off into the galaxy. I really love how this turned out.

For the last slimline card, I started by looking at all the sentiments in the Craftangles Wedding Sentiments 1 sentiment sheet. . The one about memories caught my eye.
So I used the Craftangles filmstrip die for this card.
I used two sheets of paper from the Wedding Bells 6″x6″ paper pack to cove the front of the slimline card. I used the small images that are included in this pack to place in the film strip as memories. I really really love this card..the colours are so soft and whimsical. The sentiment sticks out a bit, but my envelope is big enough so its ok. I added some Craftangles clear sequins to finish the card.
